Ann Caryl Fisher was born in Treorchy, Rhondda Cynon Taf and now
lives in Creigiau, Cardiff.
After completing A levels in Porth County Grammar School for girls, she went to the University of Wales Swansea where she obtained a BA honours Degree in English, with Welsh being part of the first year studies.
Ann moved to London and after qualifying with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education she worked as a Special Needs teacher in Special Schools and also completed a Post Gradute Diploma in Special Needs Education.
Having learnt Welsh as a second language, Ann went on to teach Beginners Welsh for adults in various locations.
With a great love of Wales and its idiosyncrasies, and having always wanted to write a children's book, Ann has drawn on her experiences to write Adventures in the Land of Welsh Magic.
The books are based in Wales with Welsh places, names and characters. |
